Unit 57 Photography and Photographic Practice
Working Title: Architectural Photography
Architectural photography refers to pictures that are taken of buildings or man-made structures. This type of photography can be used in many ways, with the most prestigious featured in exhibitions though people mainly take pictures of architecture for artistic purpose or as a hobby. Architectural photography can also be seen in estate agents where the pictures are used to advertise property for sale.
A total of 4 weeks has been given for this project and the deadline is the 12th of November.
My target audience for this project are students aged 17 - 25 who are interested in or are studying photography.
Pictures will contain buildings and cityscapes; other structures such as statues and fountains can also be in pictures. Natural lighting will be used for the light sauce and people will most likely be featured within these pictures seeing as though they will be taken in busy areas. As for taking pictures of a cityscape I would want to capture the cityscape at dusk/nighttime.
Locations to be visited are mainly any town or city; local areas such as Stockport and Manchester or further away locations such as London. As for capturing a cityscape I can either find a high up location which looks over a town/city such as Werneth Low, which looks over Tameside: I can also take pictures from ground level while still retaining a cityscape.
As a whole, nine pictures are to be produced for this project with three being used from each genre. These pictures will be on display at an exhibition and are to be printed on either A2 or A3 paper.
