Alex Robinson
Unit 57 Photography and Photographic Practice
Working Title: Landscape Photography
For this project I shall be choosing three different genres of photography and taking pictures of images relating to each genre. This proposal refers to landscape photography.
Landscape photography is a form of photography in which pictures of nature and surrounding areas are taken in order to capture part of the world. Landscape photography enables the photographer to take pictures of large fields, lakes, forests, mountains etc.. This type of photography can not only feature landscapes on their own - but can also focus on man-made structures within the landscape.
A total of 4 weeks has been given for this project the deadline is the 12th of November.
My target audience is students aged 17 - 25; more specifically those interested in or studying photography.
Pictures I take involving this genre will contain mostly nature, such as: trees, sunlight, plants/flowers as well as any possible man-made objects to add contrast. Pictures can also contain people so long as they're not the main focus of the picture.
Locations to be visited are anywhere with large open spaces (fields etc..) and anywhere with nature i.e. public parks. Werneth Low is a good example of a location with large fields; man-made structures can also be found at this location; these structures will be a nice addition to the pictures.
The number of photographs to be produced from this particular genre are a maximum of three; all together a total of nine pictures will be produced from this project. Photographs that are produced will be used in an exhibition and will be printed on either A3 or A2 paper.
